Rochford Hundred Golf Course

Founded in 1893, this traditional golf club moved to the Grade 1 listed Rochford Hall in 1896 and soon established a most picturesque James Braid designed 6221 yard course within the grounds. Although some adjustments have been made since, the course maintains its traditional James Braid ‘feel’ and continues to provide a compelling challenge for golfers of all abilities.

Today Rochford Hundred is renowned for top quality course condition and presentation, splendid banqueting, and a most warm welcome to all who visit.

Feature Holes

 6th Hole - Par 5

White Tees: 501 yards

Yellow: 482 yards

Red: 449 yards

Stoke Index: 7

Pro's Tip

The first long hole needs a drive to a narrow fairway with a ravine and bunkering on the right and a copse of trees left waiting to punish any off-line shot. The green is down in a dip and even the big hitters will need two good shots, risking the water hazard at the greenside with their second in order to get close and set up a birdie.

12th Hole - Par 4

White Tees: 403 yards

Yellow: 393 yards

Red: 353 yards

Stoke Index: 2

Pro's Tip

The view from the tee is slightly blocked by over hanging trees on the right hand side. A good tee shot is required down this narrowing fairway as either a ditch right or trees left can catch you out. Once you reach your second shot try not to be deceived by the approach shot and come up short. Bunkers and difficult rough surround this small green, Par is a good score on this stroke index 2!
